The Erasmus+ project “Detection of Language and/or Literacy Disorders in Multilingual Children and Good Educational Practices (MultiLLDs)” is organising an international conference on 6 March 2026, at the Amphitheatre of the Central Library, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, from 09:00 to 17:00.

The conference will bring together leading researchers and practitioners in multilingualism, language development, and literacy assessment to discuss evidence-based approaches for distinguishing language disorder from linguistic difference in multilingual children.

The partners of the MultiLLDs project held their 2nd Consortium Meeting in Strasbourg, France, bringing together representatives from all participating institutions.

The meeting focused on reviewing project progress, coordinating upcoming activities, and strengthening collaboration across partner countries. Key discussions addressed the implementation of project deliverables, dissemination strategies, and next steps to ensure the effective achievement of project objectives.

The MultiLLDs project was presented at the 2nd Pancyprian Conference of Speech and Language Therapy, held on June 28–29, 2024, at the Cyprus University of Technology in Limassol, Cyprus.

MultiLLDs researchers presented a poster entitled “Exploring the needs of preschool and early primary school teachers regarding the detection and educational management of language and learning disorders in bilingual/multilingual children.”

The MultiLLDs project was presented at the 19th Panhellenic Conference of Psychological Research, held on May 7–11, 2025, in Ioannina, Greece.

Project researchers delivered an oral presentation entitled “Detection and educational management of language and learning disorders in bilingual/multilingual children in Greece, Cyprus, and France: Exploring the needs of preschool and early primary school teachers.”

The MultiLLDs project was presented at the 15th International Symposium on Bilingualism (ISB15), held on June 9–13, 2025, in San Sebastián, Spain.

MultiLLDs researchers delivered an oral presentation entitled “Detection and educational management of language and learning disorders in bilingual/multilingual children: Exploring the needs of kindergarten and primary school teachers.”

The MultiLLDs project was presented at the 33rd World Congress of the IALP (International Association of Communication Sciences and Disorders), held on August 24–28, 2025, in Malta.

MultiLLDs representatives delivered an oral presentation entitled “Identifying and supporting bilingual and multilingual children with language and/or learning difficulties: Cross-cultural insights from Cyprus, Greece, and France.”

The MultiLLDs project was represented at the International Conference “Bridging Voices in Plurilingual Education: Policies, Research and Practices”, held on October 23–24, 2025, in Rome, Italy.

An oral presentation entitled “A cross-cultural perspective on detecting and managing bilingual/multilingual children with language and learning difficulties: Insights from educational practices in Cyprus, Greece, and France” was delivered.
